We provide accounting support to the global operations of the Mitsui & Co. group.
The Financial Controlling unit provides Mitsui & Co. and its affiliates with a wide range of financial controlling activities. These include business process management (bookkeeping operation & management and internal controlling for financial reporting) for operating segment, the preparation of consolidated financial statements and managerial reporting and external disclosure. The unit also provides bookkeeping, taxation support and consulting services to some affiliated companies as start-ups etc. As the core of financial controlling, we are committed to drive business collaboration and creation with Mitsui & Co. group.
Financial Controlling for Operating Segment
We ensure not only proper accounting treatments and bookkeeping for the individual financial statements of Mitsui & Co., taking into account GAAP, Taxation, and Internal Controls for financial reporting, but also, offer business process controlling advice. Furthermore, we contribute to the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for operating segment of Mitsui & Co. based on financial information reported from group companies.
Group-wide Financial Reporting and Disclosure
We compile and analyze the financial results of each Mitsui & Co. Please join the Mitsui & Co. group company and collaborate with us. Financial Reporting/Disclosure & Advisory division is responsible for preparing management and disclosure materials, including securities reports. We also contribute to the appropriate financial reporting of the Mitsui & Co. The group's primary function is to provide expert guidance on the accounting aspects of the group's various businesses and transactions.
Accounting Service & Advisory for Affiliates
We handle accounting and booking operations and taxation support for small and medium-sized affiliates(including start-ups and SPCs). We provide not only bookkeeping and preparation of individual financial statements, but also offer advice on accounting and tax matters, supporting consolidated financial reporting, tax filings, and etc.
AP/AR & General Expense Settlement
We are engaged in invoice verification and general expense settlement operations including QC activities for Mitsui & Co. and also undertake such operations for domestic affiliated companies. We contribute to the group's internal controlling for financial reporting and business process management through settlement operations.
